IMX-790 Mold Monitoring System
Product Overview
The IMX-790 is designed to monitor mold conditions during injection-molding production. It captures mold images at defined points in the cycle and compares the observed state with an accepted condition before allowing the process to continue.
Inspection Functions
Source-listed checks include incomplete part ejection, cavity residue, abnormal ejector-pin or slide return, missing or misplaced inserts. An abnormal result can be connected to an alarm or machine-stop signal.
Imaging and Operation
The source configuration combines a 14-inch touchscreen controller with support for up to four V1 Pro cameras. The camera system supports up to 8 MP imaging, integrated infrared and white lighting, monochrome or color operation, automatic focus and optical zoom.
Applications
Typical source applications include precision injection molding and metal die casting for connectors, mobile-device housings, automotive components and gears.
