The Costly Failure Often Happens Before the Press Closes
In injection molding, a part that has not fully ejected, a pin or slide that has not returned, or an insert placed incorrectly can remain in the mold area. If the next cycle continues, the closing force can turn a small process abnormality into damaged tooling, unplanned maintenance and delayed delivery.
Vision Checks Create an Interlock Before the Next Cycle
A mold monitoring system captures the mold image during the production sequence and compares the observed condition with an accepted state. The supplied IMX material identifies checks such as incomplete part removal, cavity residue, pin or slide return, missing or misplaced inserts, short shots and flash.
When an abnormal condition is detected, the system can issue an alarm or stop signal instead of allowing the next closing action to proceed.
Image Quality Determines What the System Can Reliably See
Inspection stability depends on more than adding a camera. The supplied V1 Pro material describes integrated lighting, monochrome or color operation, high-resolution imaging, optical zoom, automatic focus and multi-point depth-of-field imaging.
